I had their veggie burger for lunch and I can’t stop thinking/talking about it. It was so delicious I immediately called my husband to gush about this establishment. I can’t wait to take him and try more of their vegan & vegetarian food! I love the bookshop/store and their playlist was the bomb. Very kind staff. Also, Epic french fries!! My only regret is not getting the lentil soup this time.

I'm an out of town vegan that was recommended this restaurant that's been in business 20 years. I'm sorry to say I was highly disappointed. I got the vegan sankofa platter which was supposed to come with fries, the platter did not have fries nor was I offered a substitute. I also tried to order a stuffed potato, but was told there were no potatoes...fine. However I didn't realize no potatoes meant no fries. Out of all the food we ordered, 60 worth... I'm sorry to say it was not very good. I will admit the hibiscus ice tea was delicious. Best thing we had, but even with that, we ordered one size and got another. I'm gonna always support black business & I'm not gonna tell anyone not to go to Sankofa, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it or return. Philly Black Vegan was here
This place never disappoints! This family owned B.O.B has outstanding service and has been a pillar in the community for a really long time. Glad to see they are thriving during the Pandemic. Will continue to support. Oh, and the food. Oh my! Always great! Vegan fish tacos and beans and rice is my current favorite.

This place was a rare find. Its located way out in South Dallas. The area is quite far from Central Dallas. It didn't seem like a bad area but it's definitely not upscale neighborhood. The food was very good. I really enjoyed their vegan options. We tried their vegan burgers and vegan po boy, their we're very delicious. I will definitely visit again soon. PS: the art and atmosphere is very \Soul\ and \Jazz
