Amazing experience staff is great they helped me get on the right path and find myself again the staff truly cares about there patients and will do anything for the patients. I’ve been to numerous of places and by far this one is the best one I’ve been to and being a smaller facility they have more time to interact with the patients than being overwhelmed by 100s of people a day. Very grateful and thankful for new start.

Before coming to New Start, I was drunk, sad and alone. I couldn't stop drinking no matter how badly I wanted to. New Start not only helped me stop drinking, but also gave me the tools I need to stay sober and better my life situation. The daily group sessions helped me understand my disease and why I struggle with addiction. They teach coping skills, introduced me to AA and helped me find a great sponsor. They sent me home with the strength to maintain my sobriety in the real world. I'm developing a daily routine, going to meetings and working on building a sober network for myself. I couldn't have done any of this without the help of the staff. They were very kind and supportive throughout the entire process. I highly recommend New Start to anyone struggling with addiction. They've helped me tremendously.
I came to New Start broken and beaten down. My life was crumbling from addiction, and I could not stay sober by my own devices. The facility provided me a comfortable and safe place to detox. The staff here was extremely helpful and they go the extra mile to see the clients succeed. The clinical staff are well-educated, and they are able to present their knowledge in an easily digestible fashion. I picked up some useful coping skills here. The most useful one was my true introduction to AA. Without the 12 steps, I would not be where i am at today. At the end of my 90 days here, I was able to enter the world again with my newfound knowledge and strength, and fighting addiction became more effortless. New Start exceeded my expectations in care as opposed to other treatment centers. The rehab is smaller and more intimate than larger rehabs I have been to. That allows the staff to form stronger connections with us, and to be more focused on us as well.
When I had arrived at Newstart Recovery I was spiritually and mentally broken. I was lost and pretty unsure of where to head or what to do with my life. And the something amazing happened: I was met with love, patience, and complete and utter understanding. I was touched and moved by each and every staff member, they each had something unique to offer to my recovery journey. I received the perfect mixture of help such as; Therapy, Coping strategies, and full experience of a 12 step program with A.A. Another amazing thing happened, I was offered the help I needed for my GED. Staff was very willing to help me with this difficult process, assist in the funding for the GED, the studying and everything needed to accomplish it.
I came into new start shaking and sweating from alcohol withdrawal, I could barely function and knew I needed help. The staff treated me like a human being and not just another patient. I learned so much about myself and really came to terms with my addiction. Being kept busy with groups/meetings/outings really helped me to stay out of my head and not dwell on past failures. I am leaving with a new outlook and feel confident I have gained the tools to be successful.!
