Had an appointment at Bob Reeves yesterday to have a couple of horns tested for valve alignments and to try some mouthpieces. The PVA is true magic. It’s amazing how such a minute adjustment can make such a dramatic difference in how a horn plays. Intonation, articulation, and endurance all improved. Their mouthpieces are also top notch. I picked out a new lead piece. Superb intonation and control, and a much richer sound than your typical lead piece. I spent all day just chatting about equipment and techniques with their trumpet guru, John Snell. What an awesome cat. Down to earth and knows his stuff cold. Highly recommend a pilgrimage to Bob Reeves. Every serious trumpet player needs to do it.

Love my Bob Reeves trumpet mouthpiece! Just got it yesterday. The staff is super knowledgeable as well and helped me in choosing the right size and model, and were fast at communicating and responding my emails. Definitely won't go back to other mouthpieces.

I've been going to Bob Reeves for approximately 20 years. They make amazing hand made mouthpieces, and can do just about any custom mouthpiece work you can think of. I have had all my most important instruments aligned here and it always makes a difference in efficiency, intonation, scale, and overall playability. Everyone on the staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I am so lucky to live relatively close to the shop. Bob Reeves is a Legend.

Bob Reeves and the guys at his shop are absolutely the best. They are incredibly knowledgable and are more than happy to pass that knowledge down. I've been working with Brett and John for some time to get a full set of mouthpieces that works perfectly and they have been amazing. They have helped me find and develop mouthpieces for all of my horns and are more than happy to modify them as my playing grows or my needs change. They also explain each step along the way and why each iteration/ adjustment is important. If you aren't doing custom work their huge selection of \stock\ mouthpieces let's you choose almost like getting your eyes checked. \What's better A or B?\ And move through their line as you find a better fit for you and your horn. I highly recommend a visit just be sure to bring your horn! They will make sure you not only know what you are getting but why you are getting it. If you get a chance to work with Bob he is incredible and has fantastic stories about the players he has worked with and the technology he has invented.
