Ran from my old apartment to Veterans Park and then all the way up here. 22 miles if you start from Foothill Blvd. lol Route was intense. Definitely a challenge worth taking

I have driven in this area and researched the history. This LA County Fire Camp appears to be using the old military base which served the nearby Nike Missile station now called \The Loop Test Facility\. The two are just several hundred yards from one another. The fire station appears to be able to house perhaps a dozen or two people, and has meeting offices, apparently, and other amenities like a cook area. I hear helicopters flying back and forth from either near this fire station or the other fire station just over the mountain from this one. All in all this is an interesting area. Nearby, there are antenna arrays, the test facility and down below the Pacoima Dam. All this area has spectacular views of the San Fernando Valley.
