The owners are lovely people - genuinely friendly and happy to answer questions. They are also true artists. Their chocolate is delicious and made with love and care. I’ll be back next time I’m in Santa Fe!

Tried a flight of three chocolate elixirs. Very interesting and complex flavors! With ingredients like chiles, lavender, honey, sesame seeds, etc., they were definitely not like anything I've had before. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Indoor cafe seating (not at the bar) appeared to be small dog-friendly.

Amazing tours. Just took the Food of the Gods tour and it was really intriguing to learn about how the chocolate is made and what goes into it. Extremely high quality and good tasting chocolate bars and elixers. Would recommend. 13/10.

Delicious chocolates! As you can see from the photos, there are so many flavors and varieties. We spoke with one of the proprietors and he was so friendly and welcoming. It’s a warm and inviting space. It’s also right next to MeowWolf so definitely worth the 2 minute side trip, especially if you are a fan of chocolate.

This is a really fun place to go to, especially if you love chocolate. A tour of the place is well worth the money. Very interesting and educational experience. You also get to make your own chocolate drink and it was surprisingly good. I have stopped for coffee and chocolate while shopping for the day on Cerrillos for a nice little break. Great place to bring out-of-town guests as well.

I've been to Art of Chocolate/Cacao twice now. Once for the factory tour (recommended) and a second time with a friend to try a flight of hot chocolate. The chocolate here is phenomenal! A must try for anyone visiting town or for locals. I'm currently working on a bar of "Prickly pear, lime, and hibiscus" dark chocolate that is mind blowing. The flight of hot chocolate was wonderful on the day we visited. Note: they aren't kidding about the pepper ratings on the spicy scales. Much to try here from chocolate bars to truffles to drinks. The prices are fairly high, but the quality is so far above any other chocolate, it's worth it.

As a chocolate maker who used to have my own home business I can say that; this place has some of the best chocolate I've ever had! The class was wonderful, the owner/teacher was super knowledgeable. The only downside is they're expensive. 10 for a bar 2.50 for a piece.
