Great place!!! I was asked by three different employees if I needed help or assistance. Since I couldn't find my size for swimwear an employee went out of the way to order it for me! This was done on a previous occasion while shopping for walking/running shoes for my wife's birthday. They arrived later and was notified by an employee. The store has a great selection of merchandise with sales, special pricing, discounted shoe area, and online special pricing! And the weekly advertisement that comes out. I've worked in retail in management and district areas and know a good operation and well trained employees. Employees and management here deserve praise for their efforts. I now work with five star resorts/hotels and can often see good customer service. It was nice to walk into this Big 5 store in Santa Fe and be greeted and then asked if I needed any assistance. Way to go team and keep up the great service!!! Store Manager owes you some PIZZA !!!

I was there for 1 hour and not the workers or management asked me if i needed help. Then i would ask them questions if they had certain colors, brands any question i asked they would reply with \what ever we have there is all we have\ then i bought 5 items there 2 of the items had clarence prices and there register did not ring up at the clearance price, so they did NOT HONOR IT. THEN!!! When i walked away they did not remove any security tages of the 5 items i bought. I walked to the door and back to the register twice till they finally relized they NEVER took any off. I HAD A REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE (you could see on the first price tag that there is 3 different prices on there and charge me the highest one)

Pretty good place to get generic equipment. Not a huge selection of guns (only rifles and long guns) but should have ammo every Tuesday when their truck comes in. Huge selection of shoes and a good variety of sports equipment. Also has paddle boards and kayaks and even sleds!

Always find something I need and they have good sales. Store is always clean and orderly. The only weird thing which i don't mind is the staff never really interacts with the customer until you're ready to pay, and a couple of times I had to go find an employee to help me and had to wait til the employees were done chatting to ask for assistance. So a little lacking in the customer service department.
