Had the very good luck ... my last 3 visits to the Pacific Heart Institute ... of treatment by Dr. Sonia Samtani. She was kind and attentive, focused on my health issue with great knowledge and compassion, and made me feel as if my cardio concerns were as important to her as they were to me. I wasn't just another patient to Dr. Samtani, I was a distinct human being she helped very effectively using vibrant decency as therapeutically as her advanced medical ability. I recommend her highly.

I've been seeing Dr. Pelikan, who is a very capable cardiologist. He placed a stent in my heart which went well. However, getting ahold of a nurse to ask questions to, even if it could be urgent, can be a challenge as well as getting ahold of a Secratary to make appointments. I know it's a busy office, but we're talking about a cardiologist. If I call with a question that I believe to be urgent, there should be a better way to get a nurse on the phone than going through a secratary that may be at lunch, on a break, etc. This aside, I am pleased with my experience so far.
