Gratitude Attracts Blessings - Sam

Arrived late by more than half an hour for my first appointment with Dr. Gavin Bahadur. They still took me in. Had a second visit with Dr. Benjamin Graham. Great service. Took time to explain everything. No out of pocket expense. *** the eyeglass shop is independent and not part of the UCLA Jules Stein facility. They shop doesn't take insurance. The reception staff are nice. One of them, though born and raised in Los Angeles, has a southern accent that sneaks out. Super sexy.

I made an appointment for 11 am. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment. 30 minutes and counting AFTER my appointment time in the waiting room. However the doctor was very professional and understanding, and changed my mind about this office. His services were worth the wait.

I waited 10 minutes on hold patiently for CARLA to get on the phone to relay insurance & billing criteria to visit what I thought was a world renowned eye care center. She became annoyed by taking 60 seconds of her time to spell out the correct email so that I can send her my insurance card. Prior to this she wasn’t even going to make an appointment. She said that she didn’t take my insurance. I said well wait a minute....I also have a PPO. She said then we do take that. Who does this? Even centers in the worst neighborhoods at least ask if you may have a second form of insurance. This is so disturbing considering we have UCLA alumni’s in our family. Still support this institution, and Carla also hung up on me after I politely said “thank you,” at the end of our conversation. I’m very curious if and when she went for her job interview if she expressed this behavior as being her goal in maintaining customer loyalty. Sickening!
