We got our new family member!! Sweet 11-yr-old girlie, Little, who loves to play and give kisses and who enjoys the company of her new sister, our other 11-yr-old, Lola, that we adopted 18 mos ago. The adoption process is easy to do online. The facility is easy to find. Staff are friendly and helpful and easy to contact. I would recommend you check her to see if your furry family member is waiting for you.

Just returned from an volunteer orientation which coincided with the introduction of 43 new dogs from Mexico. As part of the welcoming team, we each got to meet and greet one of the new arrivals. The animals are surprisingly healthy and sociable, although there were a few injured and traumatized that would require some special care. The amazing team of vets and volunteers are making a difference for dogs from California and beyond. Need a doggy fix? Try a volunteer training and you'll be fixed for good!

A wonderful place to adopt a dog. They definitely love the dogs and want them to go to great homes. My family already had a dog, so we were concerned about bringing a new dog into the household. CWOB set up a great meeting so we could introduce the dogs in a safe and controlled environment. As you can see in the photo, it worked out for us so well we got two dogs! They're the sweetest girls in the world, although they do take some work (as any pet does).
