It's a small shop, but they always seem to have exactly the things I need for my pool. I've always enjoyed meeting with them and I found they are knowledgeable and friendly. The little dogs are fun too!

I really appreciate Rod who helped me remodel my 20-yr old pool to add a solar loop, smart controller, and the cleanest PVC glue work I have ever seen. Add in Denise and Mickey, and it is a pleasure to get all my tests, tools, parts and chemicals from this friendly neighborhood business. Jim
I need a new heater for my in ground spa. Owner Rod gave me a quite high quote. I ordered the heater on amazon for much less than he quoted and he would not install it as it was not purchased through him. From the numbers it appeared that would be marking up the heater cost 50% which to me added over 1K to the job cost, I said no. So he sends me a bill for his technician (who came out to analyze the job and give me the quote) which included a 60 service charge. I don't mind paying for the technician's time, but a service charge when no service was provided??? I think not, I will never use Santa Rosa Pool Service again.
The staff here are knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I had an algae emergency (green water with hours to go before a party) in my new pool. It was a salt-system pool, and I was unfamiliar with how to balance chemicals with a salt-system. They helped me come up with quick fix. Also another time (when I owned a different house/pool) my filter backwash valve broke, and the owner helped me fix it right there in his back room shop. This is a great, locally owned small business which I am happy to support! The only negative I can think of is that their selection isn't huge, but they generally have everything I need.
Heads up for all you amazon people. dont complain about local prices before doing your research. Brick and Mortar stores use distribution to get product, (add 15-20% to the cost of goods) the cost of running a company with a fair paying wage (another 20-30%) the 35 - 50% price increase. Shame on you for using their recommendations that took years to learn and bash them on the price for which it costs to do buissness in the town that you live in. When was the last time Amazon help pay for you childs education? Pretty sure you own these people a hug and thank you.
