Came tonight for my brother Mozart's Magic Flute. The insturmentation was very good. We were in the mezzanine and the acoustics were very good. The voices were excellent! Great theater, funny and very entertaining. Stage props were not opulent but fit the story very well. The facility itself is very nice. Comfortable with excellent sight lines. The staff here is excellent. We both really enjoyed the show. Recommend you come here!
This is a delightful little opera house where the music is presented by an excellent orchestra, the staging of the operas is effective and imaginative, and the singing is professional. For a small town they do an excellent job. Seating offers good views, though seats could be more comfortable. Amenities during intermissions offer limited seating and are mostly outdoors. We have never been affected by rain so far but it could happen.
Beautiful historic theatre, home to an incredibly fine opera company for a community of this size. A resource Sarasota can be proud of.
Another beautiful Sarasota treasure. Have dinner in one of the many nearby restaurants.Walk to the theatre in a starlight evening. Located in an ornate circa 1926 building. Beautifully produced classic operas.Take your mind off the mundane and be transformed. A new Happy place that will pleasure your memories forever. Like in Europe refreshments between Acts.Sit in the outdoor courtyard sip some wine and relive all the melodies in your mind.Beautiful evenings,delightful and refreshing. Oh yes, one more thing stop for pastries and coffee afterwards. I’ll be back.
