I don’t write many reviews. If you want good fresh seafood I mean the best go to the Seafood Joint at the Village. Jose and Sebastian make you feel at home and serve you the best dinner money can buy. I had the seafood trio and my wife had Scallops. We will definitely be back soon. So remember if you want the best go there for lunch or dinner.

Fresh fish, cooked incredibly. Had the snapper and was to die for. Hush puppies were really good too. Definitely recommend.
Best seafood restaurant on the entire west coast of Florida. Super fresh fish, cooked perfectly & served by the nicest people you will ever meet. The portions are generous too! We go out of our way on our drives between Orlando and Marco Island to stop at this awesome place for dinner. It's that good.
I don't write a lot of reviews but I decided to take the time to write this after my wonderful experience at The Seafood Joint. The staff was super friendly and greeted us warmly, something you don't see that often nowadays. We bought a bottle of wine, which I thought very reasonably priced, and started with Mussels, which were heaven. For our entrees we had Shrimp Tacos and the Grouper Sandwich with sides of fries and hush puppies. The seafood was perfectly seasoned, grilled to perfection and just melted in our mouths. The sides were also very well prepared and delicious. We will definitely be back soon!
It was my girlfriends and I first time in Sarasota, looking for a place to eat and be amazed with great seafood, and with this, we found it. It’s a small tucked away restaurant that also doubles for a market! The owner was cooking, serving, preparing drinks and everything and you can tell he really cares about the service and the food he puts on the plate. The scallops we had were the best ones we had while down in Sarasota, the seasoning was beautiful and they were cooked just right. I had the hush puppies and the coleslaw for my sides, and hands down it was the best hush puppies I have ever had in my lifetime. My girlfriend had the fries and the tomato cucumber salad as her sides, with the fries being crisp and well seasoned, and the tomato cucumber salad tasting as fresh as it could be. If you are in the area visiting or live locally this is a must try, you won’t be disappointed and you will truly see what it means to pour your heart and soul into food, because that’s exactly what Sebastian does!
