This is definitely the place to get supplies and some fish. The owner not only knows how to take care of them, but will literally teach anyone who wants to know. He’ll test your water for you and is always patient with people. He’s also the reason my fish are still alive as well as my wallet. Big thanks.

The owner is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We just started a tank and have been having some issues with the water. Not only did Dan test the water to help us get it to where it needs to be, but he also gave us some stuff to help cycle our tank completely that he uses in his own tanks. Super friendly owner, extremely clean tanks all around, active and beautiful, healthy looking fish and a great assortment of fishies, tank decor and accessories. We will continue to make the thirty minute trip past all the pet-store chains to shop at this local business, and look forward to getting more “wet pets” to fill out our tank!

Dan, Is a nice guy and his shop has the cleanest tanks out of any fish store I’ve seen locally. He’s has a nice selection of fish, and they are healthy. After being extremely disappointed by the cleanliness and tanks conditions of Father Fish in Venice. It was refreshing to stumble on to Wet Pets. This the best local fresh water fish store in Sarasota county.
