All of the other state agencies have reopened, yet the most crucial one remains closed to the public. CDC has lifted eviction restrictions, but eligible UI recipients have yet to receive payment. No one answers. No one returns calls. Emails go unacknowledged. 1800 numbers are disconnected. Commissioners office does not respond to any of the above mentioned communications as well.

Filed for unemployment when the shutdown began. I was sent the unemployment card but there was no money on it, been trying to reach somebody ever since. It's been 8 MONTHS during a PANDEMIC. This office needs to hire ALL NEW EMPLOYEES, from the look of the other comments, I can see they just left the entire Savannah area out to dry.
NO SERVICE AT ALL SINCE APRIL 2020!!! This is the ONLY department of labor in Savannah, GA. So you mean to tell me in a city population of 150,000 people that nobody is going to answer a phone call, return a voice message/email, or open the office?! Let alone the fact that the 1800 numbers don’t work! The local office is all we have and we have been deprived of this service for over 6 months now. Seems like everyone has adjusted to COVID-19 new ways of life and communication except for Savannah Department of Labor. I have called this office every week from April 2020 to now. My phone call actually ring on one particular day in JUNE. I was told I would get a call back and never spoke to anyone again. Every call before and after that moment has been transferred to voicemail immediately.
Nobody answers, nobody calls back, this place is a joke, someone needs to step up, People are left in the dark. No answers. I’ve been waiting over 2 months for unemployment and nothing. Don’t waste your time trying to contact them. You won’t get anywhere. I don’t know why this building even exists why are THESE people getting paid? They don’t do anything!!
I’ve been calling and leaving messages and no call returns. Filed a claim last week and no response, don’t know what to do next!
