This place is so cool! Love the history of building. It was so inspiring and interesting. Worth the trip. Very reasonable prices took about 45/50 minutes to walk through.

Really awesome display of the history of building blocks from stone to modern day plastic. Looking at old building sets brought back a lot of good childhood memories.

We stumbled upon this place yesterday. It’s was nice and interesting . Has some great toys in there. Not only LEGO’s but Lincoln logs and others.

Great place and very educational! Everytime I come to Chicago for work I always visit this store. Inspiring creativity in us and our youth is a very important subject. I'm even considering the membership program.

My two year old had a blast here! So much history and beautiful pieces, brought back many memories. My favorite was the black-light room. A great price too for having 11 themed rooms. This is something you don’t want to miss if you or your child is a lover of building.

So to start, Kid’s 4 and under are free with paying adults (as it’s not really for them) it’s best for 8-Adult I’d say. We we’re lucky enough to visit them for The Smithsonian Free Museum Day Live event here and the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars be it was a bit shorter than expected as it claims about 45 min self guided tour and they took the 2nd set of ticket vouchers without giving us tickets stubs, not cool. It’s was a solid 15-20 min tops. What is cool is that you're able to trade in your stubs for discounts like for a free make and take from their bricks collection too. It’s an awesome collection of all things LEGO and stem toy. It has some interactive features, but really should have more or offer a play area at the ticket price Again IMO. We got a super once a year deal here again, They offer really fun events and cool stuff like great stem toys so, it’s pretty cool to check out don’t get me wrong. the staff was very kind despite my kids acting up that day from lack of naps and sensory overloaded systems, but they really enjoyed seeing all the cool things and activating all the sensors to make them move. Bit pricey, but if money is not a concern here, it’s a great look at all things building in toys and a fun lil’ way to kill some time at the mall. They have some discounted days as well too.

They don’t match prices with Amazon. Amazon makes half prices

Took my almost 18 month old son thinking he would be too young, but it was wonderful! The staff were so friendly and my son loved everything from the movie to the interactive exhibits. I’m so excited that this exists, it’s so important to inspire creativity for the next generation, I even noticed another family where I think an older brother was showing his younger brother the museum where the Mona Lisa lives. I never thought I would see anything like this, specifically the conversations that this museum has inspired. Thank you!!!
