The Sears Tech gave wrong diagnosis of washing machine. He stated the machine was unrepairable because they couldn't find a lid switch. I did a search on the internet for the part and found one. I had to fly into state to look at the machine; turns out the water pump was blocked with lint and that's why the machine wasn't draining. I give the second star because the guy was nice to talk to on the phone. Friendly service, just wrong diagnosis.

I think I was scammed by Sears. My dryer drum stopped working. 4 year old machine. Technician arrived 1.5 hour after my appointment window. Service cost was only 89. He spent 20 mins - removed a stuck sock (fell in through the filter); cleaned the bottom. I was super relieved that no parts were broken or needed replacement. But I still got charged over 300. I was told, he had to input a 'code'. But there was no code. I got 1 amount under 'labor cost' for 302. I was given an option to join their super expensive 'warranty' program, which would've reduced my cost to 176; which I obviously declined. Safe to say, I'll never call them again.
The dishwasher is working fine and the repairmen did a great job.

Without even doing a proper diagnostic on my refrigerator, technician told me it was a common issue that a compressor and coils go bad and quoted me a price at just about the cost of a new fridge. When I declined the work he tried to sell me a maintenance plan. A total waste of 99! I ended up getting a second opinion and it turned out that wasn't even the problem. What a scam and try to upsell you !!!!
