Go to pick up my uniform for school and there is a sign that says they are closed because of an emergency for a week. No phone call or anything. I hope my instructors understand!

Great job on tailoring jobs!

I brought in a new formal evening dress to be hemmed. The job was done in a very unprofessional manner with the stitching uneven and corners not matching. When I complained the person behind the counter told me that no one would notice!!! I told her that was not acceptable. Her next reply was that I did not have to come back. I would advise anyone reading this to not do business with this company!

They do the job, but that's it. Bad customer service.

Our Squadron uses this cleaner for alterations to some of our uniforms, but if I was paying for it I wouldn't use them. The work they do is to standards, but the customer service is rude. My first impression to the Scott AFB community was this business so my initial mid-west opinion was formed by them; I assumed everyone was rude in the area, which is not the case...just the employees at Scott Gate Cleaners are. I took a few flight suits in right after purchase and the greeting I got was this woman with an attitude saying \Take it out of the bag.\ No \Please\ or \good afternoon\, just commands to the customer. The only reason our Squadron uses this business is the quick turnaround. If you have the time, use the BX \Stripes\ Alterations shop...they do alterations on site but take a little bit longer and the cleaners are in the BX building also, but they contract off base which is why it takes a while for them. 1.95 cleaners has been good from what I heard for work shirts in Fairview Heights. If you ask anyone on base, you will most likely hear negative comments. Even the most polite person in our Squadron received the same treatment, which was very shocking!! Scott Gate Cleaners is right outside the main gate, but do not take your business to them unless you like being treated rudely.
