We really enjoyed our time at Hardy Lake. Having a state park pass (annual membership for 50 to get into parks is well worth the investment). The lake didn't get too crowded and the weather was perfect each time we went. The restrooms were open and had soap! We kept our distance from people even in the water. The temperature was amazing. You can grill, play st the park, have a picnic (small beach looking area), build sand castles.... Had so much fun!!!!

An interesting place to look around.
Stopped by on a whim and was very pleased. Saw several pileated woodpeckers, a running deer and a garter snake chasing a toad all on trail 4. Many beautiful shagbark hickories.
Clean and well maintained by DNR. This is a great place to bring your family, definitely affordable fun
The beach is really clean as is the water... for brown lake water that is. Didnt see any issues in the men's shower/ restroom area. The concessions were closed but that wasn't really a big deal for us. Loved how much grassy shaded area there was. Could use more picnic tables and trash cans too close to the beach.
