Dr. Rudgear may be a good doctor but the office is owned and run by a Nurse Practitioner and after your first visit you have to see a NP. My first NP left and I was pawned off to the NP that owned the facility. I finally left this office when I was diagnosed with low HGH after 2 years of complaining of the same symptoms. You call in to see if test results are back and you are put through to the NP's assistant who promises to call back in 48 hours. I waited over a week and then called again. Was finally told I needed another test to verify the results. When I asked when I could take the test I was told it would take 2 weeks to get my insurance to confirm that I was covered . I called my insurance and within 3 minutes was told this prescription was covered and all I needed was a prescription to take to CVS. Well, you would think a doctors office would know what a prescription is. I explained what I wanted and said I would be back in 30 minutes to pick it up. Came back and again there was confusion as to what a prescription was and finally gave me a copy of a request to the manufacturer and told me that was the prescription. CVS would not take this copy and sent me back to get an actual prescription. I was very upset that an office that I trusted my healthcare with could not even produce a valid prescription or even know what it was after they recommended it. I feel the knowledge of the staff and PC is far below what I expect with a doctor. I have found another Endocrinologist with excellent ratings.

If you have another choice don't got to this doctor. We were referred by insurance co to see a specialist . They will run you down with tests and you have to go in the office to hear every result , good or bad and then offer no real treatments. If you have any adrenal issues I fell like they really don't know how to address that. I just checked the ratings on google and now I know that all negative reviews are true. 2.5 stars is not good if you have serious medical issues. You will be seen by a NP for the entire time and that is actually better bc Kristy Kutz is nice and she tries her best then seeing the Dr. Dr . Rudgear is extremely rude appointment in the office for 5 minutes and told her is all her fault that she needs to basically not eat much of anything because if she loses the weight then her PCOS will go away. Never looked at her chart barley glanced at it . My daughter left in tears from her appointment and very unmotivated. if you have a young daughter or you are a young woman do not go to see this Dr. She gained 20 pounds since coming ( with a very clean healthy diet ), here despite all the extra test done and numerous results suggesting adrenal issues and low thyroid nothing was addressing that. The treatment is really not working and is basically the same she had from her gynecologist except up the dose of Metformin. They are now selling cosmetics and Botox, that is great but I was thinking this is a serious medical office treating serious medical problems. I am sorry for the stuff that is working there. Some are nice, some you can't bother and they don't really have time to listen to you when you call with any requests and concerns. Might be too busy selling botox.
This was a very efficient and pleasant office. The staff is excellent and responsive. Dr. Rudgear took her time and really made an effort to sort out my medical issues and make me feel like she had a good grasp on our treatment plan. Excellent physician and office staff. A pleasure to be a patient there.
Dr. Rudgear is a very tolerant and understanding endocrinologist who helped me to get my diabetes more under control. I was offered 'additional' products but a simple 'no thanks' was taken with no additional pressure. I find her staff to be very kind and understanding and have not even once heard 'this is your fault' even though some of my diabetic care is certainly my responsibility. I find the attitude of her office very refreshing and I am excited to continue to work towards better diabetic care overall.
I have been struggling to find an Endocrinologist who actually listens, cares and understands about me and my diagnosis! I have finally found one! Dr. Rudgear's staff was so amazing, making the appointment couldn't have been any easier! It was super easy to fill out all the forms BEFORE I got there! Then upon arriving, the office staff was friendly and ready to help me. Promptly called back to the room her Medical Assistance was courteous and showed excellent care when taking my vitals. Dr. Rudgear arrived and spent MORE TIME with me than any other doctor! She was patient, she listened and asked so many questions, she was curious to learn all about me as a \person\ versus just treating a bunch of #'s or symptoms. She truly cared! She went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations! I would HIGHLY recommend her if you are seeking a physician who will treat you as a PERSON and who will then go above and beyond to make sure that you are getting the RIGHT treatment! So thankful to have found her!
