Excellent service, from the moment we came in, until the moment we left. The food by the grill is the best, plus you get a little show by the chef! :) I recommend you take a walk at the waterfront afterwards ! We came during Xmas season. Beautiful

Went here for my birthday. The food was good, but note the rice is cooked in a way that leaves some pieces hard, other than that food was good. The cook was great, and funny but hard to hear. Some of the dishes could of been cleaned better, some food remenants were on a water glass of ours. We made a reservation for our own table but were sat us with people, our options were to wait for them to finish or sit with the other people. They also mid meal placed walk-ins at there own table.
Went for Valentines Day and didn't get a chance to set reservations but they took us right in. Great service, great hospitality, great prices great food. Will definitely be back.
The server was friendly and promptly greeted us and led us to a table. Then she offered to seat the 3 of us on the corner/end with a wall behind us and a wobbly chair in a space an adult would barely be able to get into, and I say that weighing only 138#. We finally ended up being seated on the other end where we had room to breath. We ate at the teppanyaki table and the chef was personable. The meat was done well but he served almost the most tasteless fried rice we have ever had. (We make a point to eat at a teppanyaki restaurant nearly every time we travel. It is my favorite food, which I started eating in Okinawa in the 1970's, so this is not my first rodeo.) It sorely needed more butter, Saki, soy sauce, salt and pepper. When I reheated it back at the condo the next day, adding just Saki and soy sauce, it was considerably better. To add insult to injury, they charged an extra 2.00 to upgrade from white rice to fried rice. I have NEVER run into an upcharge just for fried rice before. I was also disappointed he didn't offer to squirt Saki from a squeeze bottle into our mouths but understand that may have been because of Covid. Overall a good experience but the rice flavor and price were very disappointing. May or may not go again. Very likely will try somewhere else even if it is a little further drive.
Kyoto is hands down, without a doubt the best hibachi/sushi place in downtown Scottsdale. The staff are fun, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The food is delicious and fresh, and the atmosphere is perfect for a night out with friends or family. Erik the owner cares about the guest and it shows in the experience. We'll be coming back for as long as they allow us in, kampai!
