I have been looking to rent a camera body and lens for some family photoshoot requests I have coming up. I was looking to rent a Canon Mark III 5D and a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens for 3 days. I found places that ship the equipment to you. The cost was always around 200-250 with shipping but I really wanted to rent locally. I found MP&E and requested a quote ... 650. That is an absolutely insane amount! I'm sure they're great for large productions, but if you're just working on a small project make sure you do your research.
