One of the best sober livings I’ve gone to. Chris and Kevin made the whole process so easy and they were nothing but kin and up front the whole time. The house was cozy and the girls made me feel right at home. Grateful for my time spent at Stepping Stone.

This place was not a good fit for my daughter at all. Kevin and Chris were fine, but the house manager was really awful. We had a lot of questions because it was her first time in Sober Living, and we were told The house manager would go over all the rules in detail with my daughter. Most places spend at least an hour doing this with new residents. Well she never did. She had a family emergency the day my daughter moved in and she just never got to it afterward, so before we knew it, my daughter had “strikes” against her. When she sincerely asked what she had done wrong, The HM told her she was “talking back” and “sassing” her. And she just kept on telling her negative things about herself, things like “your laugh sounds like a witch cackle” so she didn’t feel like she was allowed to laugh or she’d get another “strike” against her. And the residents barely talked to each other and never did anything together. My daughter became distraught and depressed and after only 5 days she relapsed. Chris and Kevin had told us if they relapse, they will have to leave for 3 days, for detox, then they can come back. But they wouldn’t let my daughter come back. This was of course after we just paid the 360 deposit, which was of course non-refundable, and the week’s rent. I felt like they used my family for some underhanded “fundraising”. We are not rich. Just seeking support and sobriety for our daughter.

Stepping Stone is an amazing place. I have been sober nine months now and would recommend Stepping Stone to anyone. Kevin the house manager is an incredible person that I saw daily. Chris the owner is a phenomenal person too. One of the things that make them so special is they actually care. I have seen so many sober living places where it is nothing but a business. Stepping Stone is a place where you are not only held accountable but forge relationships. I saw people go that had to go and have seen them work with people that deserved another chance. Another thing is that Stepping Stone gets you ready for the real world. Your daily chores and activities around the house prepare you for real living where you will have to take care of your home. The people that live there care about each other and the management team works with each individual as needed. I have seen Kevin and Chris do things from a compassion standpoint that does not make business/financial sense but helps people and shows how they care for the people that live there. This is a home not just a business. They put people first. If you want a place where people will hold you accountable and teach you life skills but do so while genuinely caring about you and your success, then this is the place for you.

Stepping stone is incredible!!! Beautiful house with beautiful girls and the house manager is on point making sure we stay sober! She is the sweetest most kind hearted caring person. The dynamic of the house is like a family and we hold each other accountable so that we remain focused on our goals. This house warm and welcoming and is full of positive vibes for queens only!

Stepping Stone gave me so much support and much needed fellowship in my early sobriety. Ive spent 8 months here and it was the best decision I made. Kevin & Chris always put the clients first and go out of there way to help in any way they can. At Stepping Stone recovery always came first.
