Bonhams falsely advertises their staff are \appraisers\ and they perform\wine appraisals\, but these alleged appraisers DO NOT possess any formal training or education in wine & spirits, oenology, or viticulture. These interns allegedly appraise art, sports memorabilia and residential contents in her \everything in one pot approach\. Bonham's employees are not designated appraisers, with appraisal designations earned from appraisal organizations. These employees also are not accredited in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) US Congress law. Ethically, they should refuse such appraisal assignments as these people lack the requisite training. The Bonham's web site does NOT provide BIO's of their alleged appraisers, and nowhere is it found on their web site.
It was such a pleasure working with Heather at Bonhams! I highly recommend this group - efficient, fair and friendly. I would gladly work with them again - it was a great experience.
