I’m actually super saddened to be writing this post considering I LOVE this store & have shopped here for 3 years. I have four children and make the 45 min trek up there at least twice a month & spend at least 100-200 dollars every time I come up. I’m a loyal costumer & always wait to shop there. Today, my husband & 3 children were up there shopping for snow boots for my eldest. We paid for the boots & headed out to the car. As we were loading the kids up “the owner” of the store came out & told us that we were no longer welcomed there. We were confused & honestly shocked by what she was saying. My husband asked her why & she said “ask your wife” & went back inside. I obviously wanted answers & followed her back in asking why were banned. She said she watched me steal items & shove them in my ALREADY FULL diaper bag. I explained to her that I would never do something like that & asked for her proof. She said “I don’t need to show you anything, just be happy I’m not calling the cops”. I told her to call the cops & demanded for her to show me proof of such a dishonorable accusation. I’ve never even stolen anything in my life & the fact that someone was accusing me of something I would NEVER do killed me. I don’t know if I was racially profiled as I am Mexican but it just didn’t add up. My husband is a veteran & a firefighter & we are heavily involved in the community. That would detrimental to his career & our reputation. I am beyond disappointed and deserve an apology for such a disgusting accusation! The owner was completely unprofessional & even after my husband called the store about an hour later trying to get some answers she was too “prideful” to apologize or admit to her wrong doing. It was embarrassing to experience that in front of our children. Also, I’m not sure why you would let my husband pay for 30 dollar snow boots with out mentioning your concern. We would of been more than happy to open up my diaper bag & show you that nothing was stolen!!

Experience shopping here is amazing. Looking for a glider and some other furniture for our new place and the Childish Things and they were great at giving us a great deal. They were a pleasure to work with and we can't wait til everything is delivered. Will definitely recommend this place to friends.

Inside this tiny used store there are toys, clothes, shoes, books, maternity wear and a variety of items parents might desire. If you're willing to pay full price (as in you might as well just go to any regular business with a kids department). They do have just about every size in an item or two available, for both girls and boys.. on a good day.
Nice place, well organized, quite a bit of choice, but way overpriced when I see how little money they actually pay to buy things over (which makes sense if you want to pay employees and maintain a second hand store that looks like a boutique). I sold a few (mostly new with labels or in perfect condition) items to cover the cost of a sweater I wanted to buy. They are very picky about what they take. They gave me back most what I brought while it was mostly new with labels or like new, brand names and french brands as well. I'd say it's a good place to check if in need of something in a very good state without paying full price (yet paying higher than expected)/or without waiting for a sale, but certainly not worth going to sell things.
