Mark Weiss came highly recommended by friends, marriage counselors, and other attorneys. I interviewed several attorneys, beginning with Mark. I read as much as I could about collaborative divorce, including the blog and general information on his extremely comprehensive website. From the first time I met Mark, I felt I could trust him. I’ve never hired a divorce lawyer before; I felt that if he couldn’t help me, he would direct me toward someone who could. It was my good fortune to be selected as his client. Mark is knowledgeable, patient, methodical, honest, straightforward, compassionate, and wise. He was not condescending and never rushed me through any meeting. He made sure I understood everything I read, heard, and signed. He answered all my phone calls and emails in a timely manner. His calm and quietly effective demeanor showed me he valued my opinions, respected my intellect, and was committed to ensuring that we reached a reasonable and equitable settlement. Mark and the collaborative team guided me through the most difficult year of my life. After learning the crushing news that my 29 year marriage would soon come to an end, my first two thoughts were to find a good councilor and a great attorney. Fortunately for me, my councilor referred me to Mark Weiss. From my first visit with Mark, I knew he would have my best needs as his main focus. Mark has many exceptional qualities, such as being an empathetic listener, patient with my many questions during the divorce process, has high integrity and is very well respected from his fellow attorneys and collaborative team members, very thorough in all his reports and information, providing referrals for additional professional resources; such as career counseling, etc., has vast experience and knowledge of Washington state divorce law, very timely with his return calls, emails, and availability to discuss any concerns. Mark Weiss is dedicated to staying on task with the goal of reaching the best mutually agreed upon final outcome for his client, while also being respectful and compassionate of the needs of the other spouse and children involved. Overall, Mark has a very holistic viewpoint when serving his client through one of the most difficult experiences in their life, by addressing the emotional, physical, mental, and financial wellbeing of his client.
