The MSR Titan kettle does NOT have a tight fitting lid as advertised. It either falls off into whatever you are heating/cooking or when you are pouring boiling water. It is a serious design flaw and could cause injuries if you are not careful. There have been numerous other reviews that speak of this same issue so why hasn’t this design flaw been addressed by MSR and fixed? While we love the lightweight kettle, we would not recommend it for this reason and may return it to MEC when we are next in Vancouver. This has been a major disappointment for us as we do love MSR products. There was also a sticker on the side of the kettle as part of its packaging which when removed left an ugly mark. Oh and the handles heat up so you have to wear gloves when handling the kettle.

I love this company, they fixed my broken tent pole for free and hooked me up with new stakes, also free. All was done faster than I could use their bathroom. Do you want a customer for life? Because that's how you get a customer for life!

We bought the MSR Whisperlite International for our long term travel through South America. After using the stove for only 6 months, it got clogged although we were cleaning it regularly according to the manual. It was impossible to pull out the cable of the fuel line even with pliers. When we contacted support we walked through the cleaning procedure with them once more and made a video of the non working stove for them. Then they asked us to go to a international dealer to figure out the problem. In Brazil there was none and we were in Northeast Brazil. So 3000 miles/5000km air distance and 8 months cooking with wood and with alcohol in a can later (!!!) in Lima (Peru), the dealer wouldn't even touch the stove, didn't have spare parts and said he's only selling the stuff. Calling MSR they told me they would contact the dealers to see what they can do! Now it's 3 days later, the dealer did NOT receive a call or an e-mail and the company's on holidays! We're stuck in a big city, which sucks if you're an overlander and our visa is expiring soon! The stove still has 2 years of guarantee and it just helps nothing! So I recommend to buy another's company's stove if you want quality and support!

I went to your Seattle Cascade Designs Inc office in Seattle. I entered to the office where someone immediately asked if I need help. I explained the issue I had with my stove, and the employee took me outside to show me the repair shop. There, he explained my issue to a repairman, and my issue was fixed within 3 short minutes. I must say, WOW. That was the best customer experience in my life!
