PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! I stayed here in February for my birthday and while the apartment was great, at a perfect location, and the person in charge of dropping the key off was very friendly, they steal your money and are NOT HELPFUL! It states there is a 150 security deposit, 60 cleaning fee which is included but they took out 300. I have called COUNTLESS time and they are always apologize and state they are reaching out to their accounting department and the money should be refunded but IT NEVER DOES. I called last week and the lady I spoke to said she processed it sent me a receipt but it has not reflected on my account, and the receipt was only for 150. Every time I call now they place me on hold and then hang up on me. Save your money, don't stay here. It's July and I am still dealing with this issue, it is not worth the headache when they steal from you!

Currently staying in this place. Had to vacuum when we came into the place. Called several in order to check in earlier, today when I came in the place wasn’t clean and I agreed to leave my luggage on the apartment while they cleaned the place (that didn’t happen). The photos posted are also misleading as only one apartment has the view provided. Please see below photos. We don’t ask for much, we just ask for a fair and honest description of the place also a good/deep cleaning will do. Concierge was nice enough to let me leave my luggage but used it as an excuse to avoid explaining the current state of the place which makes this place a horrible place on all categories.
Due to the COVID-19, our trip to Seattle is cancelled. I ask for the cancellation receipt in case to claim the travel insurance, but no response from this apartment at all. I find the help through booking.com and they said they try to contact the accommodation but still have no reply. Also, they overcharge me because the charge on the cleaning fee and tax also, but don't refund on this after cancellation. This is a totally irresponsible accommodation. I deal with this issue over a month and I'm very tired on this. Never Never Never book this place again.
Don't stay here! Otherwise, you will regret! We reserved our rooms and paid last year before pandemic of COVID-19. Afterwards, our flight was cancelled and could not reach Seattle due to COVID-19 restrictions. We tried to cancel the reservation and to contact Pelicanstay via BOOKING.COM. We were told that we could at least get back the Tax fee. But Pelicanstay never responded until the original check-in day. They pretended to not knowing our cancellation request and called us when we were sleeping (our home town is in different timezone). Finally, our reservation was classified as "NO SHOW" and we could not get back our money even the Tax fee. We requested for a cancellation confirmation from Pelicanstay but they never responded. We even cannot claim travel insurance.
An accurate representation of what the apartment actually looked like would have been really helpful. Then, after talking first with "Sarah" then with "Sonja," I was offered a place in the other building with a "balcony." Except that it wasn't a balcony, it was an opening to a garage in the back that they called a 'balcony'. When I told them that they had misrepresented themselves, I offered to let it go if they just dropped the 95 cleaning fee. First they offered 50 (on a 650 stay). Feeling cheated I declined; then they got combative (I have the e-mails to prove it). They flat-out lied to me and told me that they had been running that 'business' for 15 years after their workers had told me it was a new venture. And they lied to all of us with those pictures they posted. Apparently there is one unit that looks like that; the rest look like the ones in the pictures I posted - as someone else said, overlooking a brick wall. You'll never know it till you stay there, and I have to recommend that you do not; stay somewhere else. It's also located right next door to a homeless shelter (true story). Oh, and it took two days for them to get the wifi to work. I do not appreciate being deceived in any way. As such, I would not stay here again. I will be discussing remedies with my credit card company after the "owners" (whomever they are - you'll never know! it's so shady!) refused to budge.
Our Alaska carnival cruise was cancel due to the corona, so we had to cancel all our reservations. Even though our plane tickets with American Airlines were non refundable we still received a full refund, as well with Carnival, but Pelican Stay refuse to refund our reservation, 824.00 which we paid in full back in February 14, 2020. They’re even including cleaning fees!! we have no reason after the cancellation to visit Seattle! It’s very unfair!!!! We will never use this company or Booking.com!!
Regretfully my experience is that this establishment is not honoring their policy. Due to Covid 19 and restrictions imposed by both the USA and my country my flight to Seattle was cancelled and thus I have asked Pelicanstay numerous times (via both message and e-mail) if I can get a refund or if they would please send me a statement that they will not refund what I paid in advance so that I can claim my insurance company. Despite a promise on their booking site that they always respond to customers within 24 hrs I have not heard from them at all, not one word. Several times I tried to call the establishment but they hung up every single time.
Stay away from the place unless you want to budget extra 150 in the accommodation. Pay attention to their deposit policy, despite having your credit card information which entitled them to charge you for any damage at check out, they decided to pre-charge 150 deposit prior to arrival, and won't refund it until 14days afterward, that's holding your 150 for an entire month for no real good reason, and of course, they don't pay you any interest. Here comes the worst part, I have checked out SIX WHOLE WEEKS ago and still HAVEN'T received my deposit, tried talked to management three times and each time they said it's with accounting and will be with me shortly, guess what nothing! I had to file a dispute with the credit card company and hopefully will get it back. Also if you do stay here, don't walk around the neighborhood at night, take uber or cab home, not the safest place with the amount of homeless around.
