Terrible experience from start to finish. The hostess was friendly enough, but pointed to a table and never got off chatting on the phone to seat us. The waitress didn't know the menu and couldn't even read or pronounce words from her notes, like the word Gorgonzola. The food was over salted to the extreme, and the salads came out on salt blocks without warning, which made them inedible. We ended up sending them back, but we're not offered alternatives. Our wine tasted like the bottle had been open for two or three days and was too warm. No one ever came to ask how our food was, or to offer more water or our check. I had to get up each time to waive at the hostess(still on the phone) down to ask. The only upside was that they took the salt salads off of our bill. The location is good, but this restaurant has classical music playing and has no provision to make shade on the patio, so they are not aware of contemporary needs/preferences of their clients.

Roberto's is seriously the real deal. There are no short cuts here! Naturally slow cooked sauces and their Ossobuco just made me feel good. They were very accommodating of our kids. Everyone loved their meal. We just felt so comfortable there. Definitely worth a repeat.

Went to Robertos for a friend's birthday party. There was 8 of us in the group. They had our table all set up for us when we arrived. The area we were sitting in was all glass almost like a greenhouse. Very cool. Certainly sets it apart from other placed in Pike Place. I had an cocktail which was well made and a pork chop which was fantastic. Other winners on the menu included the lamb shank, gnocchi and halibut. If you are going to have dessert, and I suggest you do, the Tiramasu is a must. While we were eating the owner had the entire staff come out and sing happy birthday to my friend which I thought was a fantastic choice. Everyone here is so friendly. I think this is a great spot to take a date. The all glass dining room has a really romantic vibe to it. I really want to come back when the weather warms up a little bit and they open all the windows. This place certainly gets a thumbs up from me.

Seriously the best italian food I have had outside Italy. Very reasonably priced too. I believe that issues with sound mentioned in other reviews have been addressed as I had a great meal and will be going back.

Great food, great service, and a spectacular atmosphere. It felt like we were in Europe.

Was walking around seattle like my head was cut off because it was my first hour there, I seen robertos and thought I would Google it to see the reviews...the spaghetti carbonara was spot on, tasted like I was in Italy...I got a couple of glasses of there red wine, got the calamari, tirimisu also...Sean the waiter was the man...would definitely return

Terrible experience. Boyfriend got the happy hour pasta (half-size). Took at least 20 minutes to get to him, and was barely warm as well as dry and bland (I am aware of the Italian predilection for using less sauce than Americans, in order to emphasize the pasta as well as the sauce). I ordered a cup of the pasta e fagiole soup and a half order of spaghetti al olio. After about 25 minutes, the bartender appeared to realize that I hadn't gotten my soup and appeared to check on it. Please note that there were 3 other people in the bar at that time. My soup came out 30 minutes after I ordered it. Was not what was expected from its name; pasta e fagiole is usually a brothy soup with beans, vegetables and, yes, pasta. Mine looked (and kinda tasted) like refried black beans. When I asked the bartender, she concurred that yes, that's their pasta e fagiole soup. After waiting another 10-15 minutes ( 50 minutes after ordering), we told the bartender to cancel my pasta. She apologized and agreed that it had been too long. Shortly after cancelling the order, she told us that it was coming right out and that the owner would like to buy my dinner. After another 10 to 15 minute wait, we told her just to cancel the pasta, which she appeared to hear over the too-loud din of holiday music. When we commented on how loud it was, she said the owner likes it that way. After about a ten-minute wait, she brought us the check. Nothing comped, although she didn't charge us for the cancelled pasta. Small miracles. When we mentioned that the owner was going to comp my dinner, she said that she didn't charge us for the pasta. No attempt to comp anything else as another way to apologize for our experience (please note her copious verbal apologies) and hope that we would return. No worries; we won't.
