RUG creates a super positive Little League experience, with quality coaching and leadership. The kids learn to play ball, but they also learn to be great teammates and friends to each other. I wish my own Little League experience had been more like this.

My family has been involved with RUG little league going on 6 years. My daughter loved T-ball and is so excited to start softball in a few weeks. My son (Minors) has benefited in many ways including general skills and team building. I love the parent involvement on and off the field. I always enjoy events like the Opening day Jamboree and the occasional parent vs kids game too. RUG little league is family and community.

My son has benefited greatly with this program, from learning about teamwork, to developing skills, and gaining confidence from a coaching culture of respect, warmth, compassion, and positive feedback that builds teamwork, skills, and not just egos. It turned my world around since I was raised among team sports having negative feedback as the way to teach. It has been an uplifting experience for our whole family. Thank you Coach Paul and all the coaches - You're Great!

RUG little league was the second stop for our son. He was a walk on player in both leagues. That said, he was welcomed with open arms at RUG. The players, coaches and parents are invested in the program and are more open to new players. We are now about to start our 3rd season with RUG. We really enjoy the league, made some great friends and our son loves it..

We've absolutely loved our experience with RUGLL. The coaches have been great, the league well-run, and the kids had FUN!

I love this League, my son started in Tee Ball and has made many new friends while learning the game of baseball. If your looking for the best local youth baseball and softball league in the Northeast area of Seattle this is the place.

RUG Little League has the perfect mix of fun and education. My son has a great time at the games and practices while learning the fundamentals of the game.

My son has been playing for RUG (Roosevelt University District and Greenlake) Little League for the past 4 years. He is not typically interested in athletics, and has struggled with baseball at times. Playing in this league, with the support of his coaches has increased his confidence and his connections with friends. His baseball teammates are his primary friend group. The coaches and parents/family members are very thoughtful, supportive, and encouraging. The unfortunate behavior that we have all seen in YouTube clips and sometimes in person are not tolerated in RUGLL. If a particular parent is getting aggressively “wound up”, I have personally witnessed a RUG coach pulling that parent or associated coach aside to address it. The focus isn’t all about winning, it’s about being competitive, increasing your skill, but also having a heck of a lot of fun. We are a great community organization that’s focused on positivity and inclusiveness. If you want your child to play baseball/ softball for a league that fosters these attributes be sure and check out RUGLL.
