THE BEST PLACE TO SHOP HANDMADE in downtown Seattle. Sassafrass has the most incredible collection of locally made clothes, purses, jewelry, art and accessories. Plus the owner Amy and the staff she has working there are the nicest, kindest, sweetest humans alive. When ever I go to Sassafras I know I will leave with something (or multiple things) cute and well made and not only that, but I will leave with a warm glow in my heart, because that's just how this store makes me feel. I love this place! Used to live a few blocks from it, and then discovered that one of my instructors in fashion design school worked there, so I started visiting whenever I walked by. The owner is a very cool friendly lady from Texas. Down in the basement there are four (five?) on-site designers, and everything sold here was designed and produced locally (either Seattle or Portland). Good selection of jewelry and accessories as well. Comfy dressing room with a couch.
Customer service awful clothes not up to expectations expensive for quality
The store is wide and you can find good products for any season and occasion.
