I visited this office 5 times in-person, and called 3 dozen times throughout my diagnosis process, surgery and post-surgery. I was a patient of Dr. Johansen (recently retired), who is kind, empathetic, patient, and adamant that I had the best care. My surgery was postponed due to COVID-19, and he advocated for me in a way I have never seen from a doctor. Post-op, he called me 1-2x a week to make sure I was doing okay. I also had the opportunity to build a relationship with the administrative staff (specifically, Cynthia and Chris). I had to call them frequently to ask for paperwork support. They were always patient and hilarious. Because of my health, I've been to a lot of different healthcare offices - very rarely will you find people SO invested in you as a patient. They're quick to respond to emails, and will go the extra mile to make sure that you are taken care of.

This location is very unprofessional. I had an appointment for an ultrasound at 8am and my provider didn’t even arrive to the office until 8:10, and didn’t bring me back until 8:15. Then, my follow up with Dr. Lee was for 8:30am and he didn’t show until 9:15 am. I didn’t want to spend my entire morning there, but I had to. Dr. Lee is very selfish and did not treat me as a person. He was more concerned with saving face and making sure that he was superior to me. Additionally, I had to go to the ER after my surgery with Dr. Lee and neither him nor the office called me the day after surgery (as is protocol for ANY surgery) to make sure things were getting better. I could have bled out, and this office wasn’t bothered enough to even check in with me. I recommend finding another office if you need any vascular care.

My husband required a splenectomy prior to a stem cell transplant that was postponed due to COVID 19. We traveled from South Carolina for these treatments and the staff and physicians at Seattle vascular Surgery were exceptional. We were able to hold telephone consultations with Dr. Johansen and then a pre-op visit in person once we were able to proceed. The office is very clean, organized and runs efficiently. We never waited more than 5 minutes after arrival to be taken to a room. Cynthia the surgery scheduler helped us to get everything arranged around some complicated logistics and Dr. Johansen was in contact with us prior to our relocation from South Carolina to assure us that everything was on schedule and ready to go. After the surgery he rounded daily and called each evening with updates. The surgical outcome was excellent and without complication. The follow up and communication through discharge was excellent. We feel fortunate to have received care from this team and do not hesitate to recommend.
