If you join a program they will take care of you. Showers, hygiene supplies, full meals, huge lockers that can hold a lot of belongings, a bunk bed, bus passes....etc, you name it. I showed up with nothing but ambition and I left as a sharper man with a great job. There are some sharp individuals who join the link program like I did so don't feel ashamed for receiving help.

I can’t thank enough for the gospel mission to provide shelter for my father who passed away recently this past Christmas. He was very grateful of the shelter he was able to receive every night after working hard everyday. Thank you!

I'm sure I could write a book about the life changing experiences I've been blessed to have at this wonderful organization. TEN STARS is not enough. Believe me when I say that regardless of the mess on the outside of the downtown shelter the lord resides on the inside.

Joining a program was great and helped me get back on my feet. I was in the link program that helped me a place to stay and save up enough money to get my own place. The welcome center staff is awesome and always willing to listen and provide decent advice. It has been couple months now and since being in the link program it helped me a great deal. Now I am doing well at my job, able to pay rent and keep up with bills and save money. Luke palmer and ben Graves, and Richard McAdams he was amazing the only one who helped me with my debt and getting back on track and he really cared, Darren and Mike in the kitchen are amazing also they are good people to talk with., and Manny and Luke for helping me get into the program. Thanks again for everything. Now I am stable have a decent job and making enough to pay rent and and bills at my old place.

PROS: Beds are readily available. The food is not bad at all. Flexible schedule, especially those who work early mornings. The afternoon staff is pretty nice. CONS: No shower facilities for the bed guests. In most homeless shelters, showers are usually mandatory before bed (I had to go to the other side of downtown Seattle to take a shower). Limited supply of blankets, which are thin it doesn't cover the entire body. The environment is very hostile, almost an \ghetto\ type feel. The overnight staff can be pretty rude and standoffish. Bugs are crawling in the sleeping area during the night.
