Izakaya in Seattle. Great ambiance, tasty food. I went back for the second time the same week I visited. It’s a place where you grab a beer or two and add skewers as you hang out with your company. Check out their wagyu tataki donburi, mentai ochazuke, and momo (peach) pudding.

Really loved the ambience of this place and staff were really friendly. Food came quickly everytime we ordered a set of skewers and it was all so good that we gobbled it all in seconds! We really enjoyed both the Wagyu skewers, Garlic beef skewers and donburi. Would definitely recommend this place.

Experienced the worst customer service ever. The staff who let us in looked angry and talked coldly. We didn’t feel welcomed at all. He also helped with serving food and he just put down our ice green tea without a word and left. He definitely needs training. We decided to order a few rounds with their app so that our table will not be crowded with food. At 9:24pm, we were suddenly told that their kitchen has closed and we CANNOT order anymore. I was shocked since NOBODY tell or remind us their last order time. At that time I was only 50% full, when I asked why no one inform us of the last order time, the staff said they close at 10pm and the kitchen usually closes half hour before. Then I believe I still have 5-6 minutes to order, right? But he just said that I CANNOT order anymore lol. So at last we left with a half empty stomach and angry mood. For this medium-priced restaurant, I didn’t expect such poor service. I was totally shocked. I don’t recommend this place unless you want to feel disrespected and leave hungrily :)

TL;DR Fried stuff and skewers are great, hit or miss on some other stuff. I really missed Japanese izakayas where you can grilled things on sticks for like 1.50 a pop, haven't seen many of those in Seattle, and when somewhere does have skewers, they tend to be super expensive. This restaurant actually has okay prices for skewers, ranging from 2 for chicken, to 3.50 for fancier things, and even pricier for premium beef. I thought the skewers were tasty, and good portion for the prices. They have a wide variety (incouding heart, gizzard, liver). I got the A5 wagyu skewer because I was curious, but I wouldnt recommend it. For 12 (market price) it's an insanely tiny thing, and also I felt it was under seasoned. It said it had truffle salt but I didn't taste that at all, maybe they forgot to salt it? My friends ordered some appetizers and entrees. To be honest the Oyakodon looked very disappointing and unappetizing. The Yaki Onigiri was mushy and hardly looked grilled at all, def a hard pass for 6. The tamagoyaki was cold like it came out the fridge, also 6 for something you could buy at Uwajimaya if I wanted it not freshly made and cold. Fried lotus chips, chicken, and corn balls were great. If I rated this place solely on that stuff, would probably be a 2 or 3 and wouldnt come back. But given I came here for the skewers, it gets a 4. Stick to the fried stuff and skewers. Personally recommend the duck skewer and scallop skewers.

This food was descent but not great. The whole experience is less than hoped for. The service is slow, even though you order everything from your phone. They may be struggling w/ reopening, but the service was less than sharp. The food preparation was very clumsy with little follow up from staff. I really was hoping for something special... At this quality / price point, it’s tome to keep looking.

Finally, a dedicated Yakitori spot in Seattle. I was a bit hesitant at first to be honest due to some people not having a good experience here. I personally think they probably did not order the right items. This is a chicken place. Yakitori is skewered and grilled chicken parts. I understand that it's new and they're definitely trying their best. The quality of their skewers is the closest thing to what I've had in Tokyo in this region. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a legit yakitori izakaya.

Highly recommend everything here with Wagyu beef. The yakitori tastes pretty good. Portion size isn’t big but you know they’re skewers. The drink menu needs improvement. The Yuzu mojito is basically a not so strong mojito with yuzu honey marmalade.
