For anyone that is an old school Audiophile, this is the place to visit & shop! The owner John is like that professor in every movie that rummages through his collection of eccentric parts with a Monocle on, looking for that magical item. This is a throw back store to better times where you are treated like an old friend & family member the minute you walk through the door. The store specializes in tube gear, & if your lucky you might catch him working on a tube DAC or amplifier at his work bench where he really shines. Specializing in brands such as Cary Audio makes it a fun place to sit for a listen as well. This is truly Aladdin's Castle full of treasures both in equipment and shopping experiences. Highly recommended, 5 stars!

I took an old broken turntable here to look into repairs. Turns out it wasn't worth the money to fix it, so I ended up buying a used one from the shop. The owner, John, has been running the shop in the same location since 1980. He took his time filling me in on everything I needed to know about my new turntable and how to keep it and my records in good shape. This kind of shop is a dying breed and my successful visit felt like a a little peek back in time. Highly recommended!

I don't make reviews without receiving exceptionally good service or lack thereof. I made a phone call introduce myself and proceeded to ask about in home audio repair and diagnosis, which they do not do and gave me referral, which I kindly appreciated and thanked him/her/they. I don't have any experience with in-home audio equipment and was VERY forward about my lack of knowledge. I was asking some questions about audio equipment and the representative quickly became demeaning and began to talk down at me saying things like, \ARE YOU GOING TO CHECK XYZ?!....\ \DO YOU KNOW HOW TO CHECK FOR ....!\ and using other specific industry jargon and technical terms to intimidate me. I want to be fair in my review, which is why I'm taking the time write this out. These guys/girls probably do a great job at what they do technically, but their customer service is piss poor and rudely intimidating to patrons like myself who don't know much about audio equipment. I don't think customers (such as myself) should have to be more professionally polite on a basic phone call inquiry than the service provider. If you're looking for professional customer service, this is not a business I would recommend.
