Beautiful store. Good, well organized selection. Friendly, helpful staff. Very nice place, even during a pandemic. Probably amazing when not needing social distancing.

Very nice Old Fashion feeling of a bookstore. People are very helpful and friendly.
I feel like it has to be said. Unlike a lot of other bookstores, the feeling I get from the store focus really isn't to pick up a book and lounge somewhere to read it. Yes, there are tables, chairs, and stools (I personally really like that little table up on the second floor where I sat for an hour to read while listening to the parade going on in Chinatown), but it doesn't really feel like a place to relax so much as it is for dedicated reading and thought. Not that you can't do both, but be aware that there's no abundance of tables or chairs or lounges.
Great variety of books to browse around. During covid they try to limit each visit to around 30 min.
Cutest book store with worker recommendations all over the store and a full wall of reviews of favorite books that is constantly updated. I love bookstores and this is one of the best. I collect the bookmarks they give you too, super fun
