Delicious wagashi year round with specials for various holidays. Highly recommend. Owner is very kind, communicative, and accommodating.

I had the matcha and Wagashi combo there for 7. It was really worth it because I got to see the whole matcha performance. I also brought a box of 4pcs back home to enjoy. The box costs 15 bucks which seems a lot for the little pieces. However, they not only taste good but also look really pretty! It was my first time trying Yubeshi and it’s very delicious! I’m glad that we have an awesome wagashi place in Seattle!

Tiny pieces of crafted art that you can eat! Delicate and flavorful, beautiful and delightful to the eyes. These are really special treats. Its worth having the experience if coming to this tiny shop and transporting yourself to Japan.

4 stars for the atmosphere and 2 stars for the taste. Overall, the sweets are carefully made and packages, but a bit too sweet, on the pricy side, and with a flavor too dominated by red bean paste. Seems authentic, but not my cup of tea. And note, it's only open one day per month (usually the third Sunday).

These are very traditional wagashi, hand-crafted by Tokara-san in the Kyoto style. Serving select establishments, Tokara's confections are available to the public only on the third Sunday of the month, reservation required, plus a few special occasions each year. These tea treats are made from sweetened bean paste, stretchy rice dough and clear seaweed jelly, changing to honor the seasons. If you are prepared to place a large order, anyone can order in quantity outside the special third-Sundays.
