I had a scheduled a meeting with Janice Brooks, a WorkSource Counselor, to find alternative suggestions as to how to find a job in Seattle. I had been posting resumes online to no avail. She was amazing. Once she understood my background, skills and frustrations, she engaged in a way that let me know that she was listening and intent on helping. She had suggestions as to where to apply and how to position myself in the job market. A very positive experience. Thank you Janice.
WorkSource and YMCA job first and whatever else they're called. Lots of promises no follow-through. Don't waste your time. Go to a different office.
One hitler type works there who spies on what you're doing online. terrible person. They once hosted a small job fair and denied my entrance due to my age! Only use them if you have no other options.
Pros: Helpful staff. Cons: Homeless sleep in bathrooms. Bad action on street.
