Worst place ever they say they protect youths but I was almost stabbed by one of their youths. I went in to talk to staff about what happened and no one would talk to me they didn’t even care when I told them the youth almost got shot dead because as a security guard off duty I still had my gear on me.

The shelter is really nice, clean, warm and cozy, however staff can be too liberal. Often they will let people staying there get away with too much, taking other people's food, leaving the bathroom and kitchen a mess not; cleaning up after themselves. Loud and noisey during the night, common courtesy and respect is packed. And staff tend to let it slide. But over all it's a very nice community and cozy environment just need to crack down on rules more so that the place is comfortable for everyone.

Visited my oldest son here staff was very helpful gave us a private room to talk in and didn't restrict time other than no visiting after 9pm. They have been on 2 field trips to the library and swimming in the 3 days he has been there.

Its quite miserable here once you go inside no phones no electronics nothing to have contact with the outside world you arent allowed to connect anything to the wifi its not the worst here but its miserable nothing to do besides stare at your bedroom wall or watch tv most shows have a lock on them no caffeine can be drank inside the facility they constantly invade your privacy virtually its a jail

It wasn’t terrible but it was quite miserable.no phones allowed at all in the building no free visiting whenever you liked. Some staff would talk about the youth and joke around. They easily blame and fault you if you are a student in Highschool for anything like transportation or not showing up to classes problems due to transportation complications. It smelled. The youth would always get in trouble for no reason with their group home “system”. Once you get inside it’s not fun I tell you. They do little about let it continue before taking action. They invade your privacy at night when you are trying to sleep.
