The school told me i have to go for 9 months can someone tell me if thats possible or not?.

My son went there because he got in trouble at his public school. I can tell you they are not there to help kids. They absolutely don't have any real teachers there. They put them in a class in front of computers and they dont care if they get anything done. All they really do is feed them. Make them do p.e. and give drug test. That's it. My son performed worse when he started there. There is absolutely no structure. He would actually come home and tell me about the drugs the other kids were doing. Thanks guys!. So if your kid has a drug problem sending them there would be a heaven for them. If your kid has academic issues sending them there would be a gateway to learn about the new drugs and no structure in academics what so ever. This school is a second option but not set up for success. In stead it's setting the kids up for failure
My son made a huge mistake his junior year of high school and was sentenced to nine weeks at the academy. I felt like it would be the end of a fabulous high school career as he is a very advanced student taking all advanced classes. I could not have been more wrong. The staff at the academy worked with my son, me and his teachers to insure his success. It was a tremendous learning experience for all of us. There is nothing I could possibly do to thank the staff at the academy for the time and efforts they put into my son.
I am a recruit there and I tell you first hand it sucks
