The door signage directed to enter by way of beer garden entrance. No hostess station or signs to direct to seat self. We went inside and found a seat where we sat some time without being greeted. Once we did recieve menus the orders were processed quickly. Reuben is very good with the house chips. Hamburger and fries were also very delicious. We will purchase gift certificates for the holidays and hope that services will improve if choosing to seat outdoors instead since most staff seem to be covering areas both inside and outside

What I love about this rescue is that it is all about the dogs. Bonnie runs the place and it is very evident that the dogs are well cared for and thought about. Each dog has a large pen to run around and get exercise, they swap out the dogs to bring inside into the air conditioning so they don’t get too hot. The dogs all are handled and are very sweet and Bonnie personally ensures that if you are wanting to adopt one that they will have the best Furever home, and if she doesn’t believe you are going to be the best fit for the rest of the dogs life then she won’t place the dog with you. Some people complain about this but I personally think it goes to show that she is in it for the dog and has their best interest in mind at all times. The dogs are well cared for, up to date on meds and while I was there I didn’t see any sick, mean or neglected dogs. When I told Bonnie what I was looking in a dog for she had a few dogs that she thought would be a perfect fit. When she showed me Badger, him and I both knew it was a match! I’ve had him under a week but what an amazing dog! He is the sweetest, most affectionate dog I could have asked for. Proving that even though he had been there for some time, the attention, socialization and love they show the dogs on a daily basis is above par as he was well adapted and not skittish or afraid as so many dogs from shelters often are. The adoption process may be harder than picking up a dog from a shelter however it goes to show that they are in it for the love of the dog and are not to place dogs that are going to be abandoned later in life.

adopted a 4m old puppy from them at a Petsmart in San Antonio. The puppy was cute and I was told he was up to date on shots and had been dewormed. I took him to the vet two days later for a checkup and found out he did in fact HAVE WORMS! So, I had to get him on medication for it...then one month later he developed another parasite...so I've had him for almost three months and he's been sick most of that time. Thankfully, he now has a clean bill of health, but I would never adopt from this group again.

As others have said, this place does not wish to place their dogs in homes. Every excuse you can think of will be used and none of the answers you give will be the right ones. I have no idea how they get their funding, but if it's from sources that think they are a rescue that rehomes dogs, then it's a scam. Might sound harsh but that's the feeling you will have after dealing with this place.
