I am on my 7th lower unit from this company and out of patience with these Chinese imposters... Going to buy OEM, it would have been WAY cheaper in the long run.. Cant get more than 10-12 hours out of these POS

SEI saved the day! I want to thank SEI for standing behind their product... even when the customer does the damage. You can buy with confidence from this company. I purchased a new lower unit over a year ago. It worked perfectly until I hit something that bent the prop shaft. That's when I learned that they're not kidding about their 3 year no-fault warranty. The other problem was that I needed it fixed FAST because of an out of state boating trip that was less than two weeks away. Cesar in the warranty department was ON IT! He walked me through the process for returning the damaged unit, had it assessed quickly by their team, and shipped a replacement unit FAST. Thank you SEI and Cesar for saving the day! You have earned a customer for life!
Very poor I will recommend everyone not to buy a lower unit they will do everything they can to not warranty it very rude and there 3 year no fault warranty is a joke I have a lower unit only a year old and they will not warranty it and was very rude about it so if your thinking about one I strongly recommend someone besides these people
I bought a new lower unit that came apart at about 30 hours. I delivered the broke unit to the company at which time I voiced my displeasure as it came apart in the keys while on a trip. It caused us to be down during the 4 day snapper season on the east coast also. The warrant rep told me “I don’t know what to say, you can fish on your phone”. Implying I could play a phone fishing game. I waited a week and saw the fed ex message it would be shipped. I called to find out what caused the damage and he couldn’t tell me. He did say the unit being shipped was a remanufactured unit. I bought a new unit and expected a new unit under warranty. I conceded and accepted the reman unit because my option was a 6 to 8 week wait on a new unit. I figured the reman unit couldn’t be any worse than what I had. I understand his job might be tough but I didn’t expect the sarcastic and demeaning manner in which he spoke to me. Bad experience for me.
