I had a fantastic time climbing Seneca rocks with my guide / instructor. James was a great! I appreciate his patience, and that he got me to the summit. Overall the service and experience were excellent!

Travelled here from Michigan for a 2 day course in trad fundamentals. The guide, Tori, was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging, and her story was inspiring. The course was tailored to individual needs, based on prior experience and goals, and I left the course feeling like I was taking with me a great experience as well as a wealth of practical knowledge. The course is also one of the more affordable trad courses that I could find in the entire United States, and if you can get a friend or two to join, the price goes down a bit. There is a campsite available as well as a shower that has a view of the rocks, bathroom facilities, and access to a beautiful outdoor kitchen right next to the river. There is also an indoor climbing gym designed to allow practicing placing trad gear. Overall, great experience here, and I would hire them again.
Seneca Rocks is a great place for young people to experience climbing and Seneca Rocks Mountain Guides is the outfit to hire to do it. They have very welcoming, experienced, patient, and professional climbing instructors to guide beginner (and sometimes nervous) climbers. Our Boy Scout Troop has climbed parts of Seneca Rocks for many years with Seneca Rocks Mountain Guides and have had a blast every time!
Had a great intro to multi-pitch rock climbing with SRMG and guide Steven in Oct 2019. Steven was everything you could want in a guide- safety conscious, patient, friendly, and encouraging. I will definitely come back to SRMG in the future to challenge myself on more difficult routes and will request Steven specifically.
This is an amazing place for a climber of any experience. The equipment supplied is state of the art to guarantee a safe climb. I drove seven hours to climb Seneca Rocks and I would do it again in a heart beat. Their guides are extremely experienced and offer as much or as little support as you need. I have only climbed outdoors once before and went for a two day course. I summited on the second day. Amazing experience that i would recommend to an experienced climber, first-timer, or anyone in between.
