Good group of folks at Strickland Marine. I have been using them for many years. I bought my last freshwater lake boat bow rider from Strickland Marine. I chose a chaparral. Warranty issues fixed with two different boats at Strickland Marine. Also nearly sank a Sea-Doo of mine on Lake Keoway and they fixed that machine. Too small of a location to add in RVs. Nice selection of boating supplies as well.
I picked up my Chaparral boat today after getting a starter replaced and having it winterized and could not have been much more disappointed. All appeared ok until I got the boat to it’s winter storage location and removed the cover to prep it for storage. The boat was almost spotless when I dropped it off for the repair and winterization work but was filthy after Strickland Marine was finished with it. The flooring and upholstery around the engine compartment had numerous grease spots and marks. The swim deck still had multiple shop rags sitting on it and also had numerous grease spots and marks. They clearly did nothing to protect the boat while they did their work. The upholstery in the front of the boat was also soiled which is hard to understand since they should not have been doing anything up there. On the technical front, they left the ignition in the “on” position and the battery switch was also left in the “on” position. Missing basics like this makes me wonder if any of the work was done correctly. I called Strickland Marine to let them know how disappointed I was with the condition of the boat after the service/repair and let them know I will not be bring the boat back there in the future unless I have no other alternatives. Their response was completely underwhelming as in didn’t really care and only added to my disappointment.
Kylie Hutchinson at the front desk was absolutely amazing and provided great assistance. She was very energetic and kind and made my experience very pleasant. Loved doing business her and She earned Strickland Marine and RV a lifelong customer. If I were her boss I would double her salary. Amazing experience that beats anywhere else in the surrounding area.
