Four of us took an intro to rock climbing day course with Rob near Port Angeles. Rob was extremely knowledgeable and patient throughout the entire day. He had all the equipment we needed to feel safe and comfortable and provided detailed instruction to allow our group to both climb and belay! Rob set up different courses for us to climb and gave much needed direction and tips on navigating the course as this was our first time climbing. He seemed to know the wall like the back of his hand which allowed us to get to the top! We had such a great day and highly recommend Rob and the team!

June 2020: Had a great 2-day custom trad climbing course with Robert. His ability to teach and adapt on the fly is second to none. He is well organized and really pays attention to the small details. This course gave me the confidence to complete my first multi-pitch trad route and I highly recommend Olympic Mountain Guiding for your next adventure or class. He makes learning really fun. March 2021: My girlfriend and I hired Robert for a day of ice climbing training. It was a super fun day, and Robert makes learning easy. Highly recommend OMG!
I took a private 2 day trad climbing course with Robert at Olympic Mountain Guiding. Rob is an outstanding instructor. I was very impressed with the quality of his presentation and instructing. Robert with Olympic mountain guiding is great! He is good friend of mine and a very skilled climber. He is easily the safest and most experienced of my climbing friends, I always learn something new when I go climbing with him. Our guide helped us achieve a goal of a lifetime! Summiting Mount Olympus seemed out of range for a couple our age - 60 and 61. Rob helped us gauge our abilities and set a pace we could maintain. We received needed training to ensure that safety was a priority. We also were fully informed regarding routes, trails and any potential danger. Even though we are experienced hikers, we had no experience mountaineering. So we were delighted to have an experienced guide. This gave us added confidence. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would recommend Olympic Mountaineer Guide for your next adventure!
