Lydia’s cottage on the pond is a gem! It was quiet and peaceful here and the location is just perfect. A few minutes from town and just half an hour from Gatlinburg, an hr drive to Cades Cove and Clingmans Dome, all beautiful destinations! It was so nice to come back to her peaceful cottage in the evenings after hiking, etc. I stayed in two cabins and both were really lovely and cozy inside and each had their own theme, plenty of supplies for cooking, basics like towels, soap etc. highly recommend if you want a peaceful little getaway and book early the cabins fill up fast! Had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It is very unique as it is built over a pond, you can fish right off the front deck. Cottage was clean and provided lots of relaxation. I wouldn't recommend more than 2 people and maybe a dog ,small but cozy.
This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. This cottage literally sits on the pond. It's an efficiency style interior but it does have a king bed with a firm mattress. The porch is why you rent this cabin. The pond is serene and picturesque. Listen for the train whistle from the steam engine at Dollywood echo through the hills. Bring your tackle box and fish right off the porch. You can see the fish in the catch and release pond. There are some big ones.
Super cute place right by the pound. Pet friendly and a fantastic place for a couple to get away!! Far enough away to not have to listen to the touristy stuff but close enough to enjoy it if to want to. Very quiet place..... just sit outside and listen to the fountain in the pond. A great place to enjoy the Smokies!!! I could not recommend Lydia higher!! Beautiful place to just chill out
