I was having a allergic reaction to some meds. Being new to this region I googled this facility. I saw not so nice reviews. Sometimes you have to experience for yourself. If you're nice to people they will be nice to you. The staff from the sign in, the nurse diagnosed me before I got the room the culprit of my reaction. And the Dr. Was concerned and caring also. I was out of there and on my way less than one hour. I figured that people have a hard time commending the good. Keep up the good work. Where would we be if it wasn't for health care providers?

I wonder which is the problem with nurses in this hospital? Ahhh and not yet I question to where this doctor in ... never saw him or rather the never saw US. Nurse Lynda is extremely idiot or only makes the silly? Lynda, let me tell you when people come in seeking of medical attention is because feel very poor health. It's not that dijero Ohh, today we don't have anything to do and we will joderle the life to medical staff of the hospital. when people come to the hospital we looking for improvement of understanding and help to improve our health. Only hope never feel ill be seen by yourself to see and feel.
Went in for the flu. ER was empty, but it still took over 4 hours to get any results back. Never got to see a doctor, and the nurse practitioner was incompetent and lacking any aort of empathy. Shw didnt believe any of the symptoms I was reporting, and said she could only prescribe based on test results. When she got frustrated with my questioning she began yelling at me which caused me to have a panic attack which made her feel threatened. They proceded to bring in 4 police officers to make her feel safe. I left with no benefit to my symptoms, no prescriptions, medical care quality worse than an urgent care, and with a lost faith in humanity. Truly the worst medical facility Ive been to
They treated me with respect and took great care of me. Very thorough and caring
The doctors and nurses were very friendly and informative. I will definitely be back.
Visited the ER on a Sunday after a fall at my home. Was greeted and triaged immediately. They hardly had completed triage (didn't have insurance/payment info at all) before X-ray tech was there for me. When it was later decided a CAT scan was also needed that tech was back in just minutes. Every person who provide care was kind, helpful, and in good spirits. All interacted well, answered my too many questions without hesitation or rolled-eyes etc. Those folks went a long way toward calming and comforting me! Only one reason I give 4 vs 5 stars (believing 5 perfect and that perfection is nearly impossible): a simple suggestion is that when a patient must wait for scans to be read or lab work etc. before next steps can be done, it would really help put them at ease to have someone (who I understand is already overburdened) simply say, "we're waiting for (radiology, etc) but don't worry, we'll be back as soon as..." I'd read bad reviews here and worried about the care I'd get. While I know breakdowns can and do occur, I take the negative comments in the understanding that suffering people may have little patience for even really good care. Hoping I never need to, I would not hesitate to go to Shands Live Oak ER should the need arise.
If I could give a zero star. I would. This place will let you just sit in the er for over 2 hours. No matter your condition. They don’t check on you. They do not update you on what’s going on. They do not let you know ahead of time that there will be a long wait. This place should be shut down or replaced with an actual facility that wants to help people. My advice to anyone thinking of visiting this place is to just NOT. Skip the aggravation and lost time.
