Whether you need a custom-made lamp shade -- or want to find a lamp you can't find anywhere else -- or would like to have a lamp made from just about any inanimate object -- I recommend Shannon Lamp Service highly. They made us a shade for a lamp that was hundreds of miles away based on a photo and measurements, and it fit perfectly.

Shannon Lamps repaired a lawyers lamp beautifully for us several years ago and lately a bathroom sconce that blew. The work is not only spot on but done very timely. The store is full of the most beautiful and interesting lamps around this area and Mr Shannon is quick to show his handiwork restoring some of the lighting. This is a wonderful shop to get very fine work done or to just go into and browse. And by the way, the prices are quite reasonable.
I always enjoy going to Shannon Lamp Service; they know their lampshades! I have always been more than satisfied with the lampshades they have recommended and made for us over the years. David is very knowledgeable, skilled, and delightful to work with. This is a long-standing, locally-owned business which fills an important niche in the community. I recommend it highly.

Had a hard time finding a replacement shade for an Asian style lamp that was my Dad's. I went to Shannon lamp service because of the reviews. Mr. Shannon was very helpful and took his time helping me select the correct size and style. Great craftsmanship and reasonable prices. Has a terrific selection of modern and antique lamps. He also does custom work. He has GREAT lamps made out of lots of different items you would never think of making a lamp of. I will definitely return to his shop for all my Lamp needs.
