C&O hiking trail is outstanding. Beautiful views of the Potomac River. One of many stops along the canel trail. This is lock 38.

The history along this trail was amazing. We so enjoyed the easy ride and beautiful scenery. Just imagining all the workers and what a day of work was like for them, was quite sobering. Thank you for those that came before us. Hard workers, hard lives, and amazing accomplishments.

Relatively uncrowded trail, super friendly riders and easy to navigate! Parking lots are big and open with plenty of space to set up and break down, be sure to try and catch the caves along the trail as well as the little guideshack/cafe near mile marker 77.

The Original Kirbi

Absolutely beautiful! A few spots and then an over full parking lot with both areas having Port a John's. Bring the dog and take a nice hike with the family. The scenery is gorgeous!!
