Currently middle of February the trails weren't really kept up, which is fine but just need to be noted. Really beautiful park with lots to see and do. Ample parking.

This was our first, and definitely not our last visit to Kohler Andrae State Park on Lake Michigan. We camped a couple of nights here and enjoyed it very much. Beautiful beaches and dunes to explore, and nice shaded campsites. Expect to hear the roar of the waves throughout the campground on windy days. Trust me on this- bring your mosquito spray. All bathrooms and vault toilets were very clean. Their concession stand is currently closed, and they are not selling firewood or ice, due to COVID-19 concerns. Bring your family and your dog and have fun at this awesome park!

One of Wisconsin’s unique and breathtaking trails, the Dunes trail is accessible for most people and is a moderate difficulty hike. There are parts of the cordwalk that get washed over with sand or covered in water, but the majority of the path is very walkable. I would recommend starting one end, and then taking the beach on your way back. You might get sand in your shoes, and if you are walking along the beach your shoes will get wet.

This park is a fun escape from the standard Wisconsin scenery, no matter the season. Explore rolling sand dunes on winding cordwalks. Note that while the wooden planks make hiking easier, there are often slippery, steep and buried segments that less mobile folks may find challenging.

Great place to enjoy nature, camp and check out Lake Michigan. The water has been high this year do the beach is tiny, but 0nce ot goes down again you can enjoy a wider beach than we did. Love the nature trails and especially the boardwalk wood surfaces!!
