While the store didn't smell the best, and had quite a few flies around and in the entrance of the store, the knowledge of the employees and the care put into the animals here is evident. After just a few minutes of talking with one of the employees (or the owner, I'm not sure), I was able to come out of the store with a better understanding of what I needed to prepare for as a prospective reptile keeper. While some prices here are higher than what you might find at brand name stores, the quality of the care and health of the animals seemed miles above what I saw at those stores, and this store offers many exotic pets that you'll never find anywhere else. It is worth mentioning that at the moment, only 1 customer per party is allowed in the store other than the day of an animal purchase, and you can only go in the store if you generally know what you want to look at. The person that helped me let me look at what crested geckos they had and at the enclosures; I jist needed to specify what I wanted to look at.
Great place too buy your new pet!! Went yesterday my sister got a blue toung skink and i got a California king snake!! It was the best experience ever.. Omg dont even get me started on how amazing the staff is id give 100 stars if i could!! They are so smart and will help with any question.. If you buy ur reptiles any where else your missing out on the best experience ever this is a must go to place!! Thanks for the amazing service
Very unprofessional. My mom bought 2 baby turtles (from somewhere else) and did all the research she could to ensure their health and happiness. One of them got sick, so she took it to the vet. They gave him an injection, but unfortunately only a few hours later, he passed away. She decided it would be best to take the other one to a nearby pet shop where he’d be taken care of by someone with experience. This is the shop she decided on unfortunately. A man in the shop berated and scolded my mom as if she intentionally hurt these turtles. If I had been there, the conversation would’ve gone differently. I’m only now hearing about this over a year later. It’s ridiculous to act like people can’t start being interested in caring for a new type of pet just because they haven’t done it before. She did the research necessary and even tried to take the poor little guy to get treated. What more can you ask of a person? This would’ve been a perfect opportunity to educate someone that obviously felt guilty about the outcome who thought they were giving a living creature the best life. As someone who has worked with cats and dogs for years, I know animal care is a field that requires a lot of compassion and patience. That clearly is not important to the staff at this facility.
Literally just for reptiles and there needs !!!
